Comics?

Hi again!

As I've been feeling a bit weird and lost lately after having returned home from Thailand there haven't been much art related stuff going on. I suffer from the longing of my loved one and I'm facing the reality of finding a new apartment still, while only two weeks or so away from having to move. And there's the annoyance of having lost my iPhone on a train a month ago. Though hopefully I'll get it back within a few days or so. There's also aspects of not nearly enough cash to secure a safe living in the near future, but these are all things I should be able to take care of.

So. Since I'll be drawing a lot of comic related stuff due to comic school studies, I might just get my plans for future comics off of my chest for now. Beats watching TV or playing Starcraft 2 tbh.

Since there are a few issues that have risen just as of late regarding the taboo, risque and downright illegal activity of drawing naked bodies in sweden, I'm putting myself in a difficult spot by drawing the stuff I love to draw. Namely girls. Mostly naked girls. Some are naked with the apparent age of being +-18 years old, which, according to Swedish law, is considered child pornography.

The other month a Swedish Manga translator was sentenced and judged as a paedophile for the possession of images featuring characters from commonly distributed manga such as Love Hina and similar series, drawn in what was considered "indecent activity". I won't go into further depths about this, but I'm sure you can find more information if you use some nifty google skills. All in all though, the characters in the images were deemed too young and too naked in too sexy situations, and therefore considered violated. While still being -fictional-, drawn (as in not real) people, the court ruled in favour of their "human rights", while striking down the pedo-hammer on the -real- human with -no- "human rights".
Judged by his possessions and not his actions (which does not involve child abuse at all).
Because owning movies about war makes you a warmonger, and playing Grand Theft Auto makes you a maffioso by default, amirite? I once saw a movie of a man and a woman kissing, but it didn't make me straight. I'm so confused by the logic — Argh~!

To clarify; a naked cartoon girl with eyes bigger- or equal the size of her bosom — Child Pornography.
If you watch, you are guilty. You can not unsee what you've seen.

So you can see why I'm a bit miffed about this. I don't draw child pornography, but I could very, very easily be judged in favour of the law by this gallery alone. Angry, angry artist.

All this leads me to—

The Calabi Yau Forest manga.

Those who've been around for a while must have undoubtedly seen the naked monster-ladies scattered all over my gallery. And as some of you have understood, I'm aiming to include most of them in a long running manga. Issues, issues, naked ladies -everywhere-. Sometimes even put in questionable situations.

For you who can't see, I'm waving a perma-finger in the general direction of the lawbringers of this country. What's next on your ban-list? Illegal thinking?

Anyhow, I'm not a girl who favours compromises, so I'll keep drawing what I love.

On to the comic ideas!

The Calabi Yau Forest manga is still hopefully my main project, and I will start working on it seriously as my comic project spanning my studies... Provided the school don't get cold feet and forbid me to put their good name to shame in the face of the Swedish law. *mumble grumble*

The time and place of the story takes place after a Great Fire cleansed the world of life after Calabi, the red phoenix spirit of life, decided to end her existence in grief of Yau, the blue phoenix spirit of creation's ill fated demise to the technology and greed of mankind. Coming the next 2000 years the forest have grown back to its original splendour, but still not completely untainted by the presence of mankind and kin. History might repeat itself soon, as it is prone to do...

The story is about a young, carefree phoenix girl having to face with the rumours of being the reincarnation of the long lost red phoenix spirit of life. A title revered by some and feared by others.
   In her journey to find out the truth of these rumours she meets with various other inhabitants of the endless forest, some who even joins her on her quest. Together they face the dangers of the world, constantly moving forward on the quest for the truth... While uncovering deeper, darker secrets about the future of the world as a whole.
All in all, it's a love-story of epic proportions.

The world is set in giant forest, a world that is flat while still entangled into itself by complicated unspoken laws of physics. The same road doesn't always lead to the same location.
   Above this world are the two pulsating suns, red and blue. The blue is large enough to cover a good half of the visible sky and "pulsates", from bright to dark, a month between. The red sun is much smaller, approximately twice the visible size of our own sun, and pulsates from bright to dark, at the frequency of a day between, effectively deciding the time of day and night.

The atmosphere is set in a high fantasy setting with creatures mostly taken from Nordic/Norse mythology, yet slightly tweaked to give them a more unique and personal feel. There will be beastmen, trolls, demons, elves, fairies and humans just to name a few.

While my initial plans were just to have a world to spill all my fetishes and twisted though into, it became so much more as the world evolved in my mind. I grew to love my characters and now a full epic story has evolved. The end product will be heavily based on the main story, while keeping the "fetishes and twisted thoughts" to be more of a flavour and spice of the world itself. Effectively there -will- be vore, violence, giantess action and some tasteful girl on girl action, but the focus will be on the love-story.

Readers will see the world through the eyes of a beast, with sense and morale very alien to what most of us would consider humane.

A similar read would be the manga "One Piece", only slightly less goofy in its style.

I'd also like to promote some extremely well made fan-art made for this universe by some very talented artists.

This would be my fall-back project should my previously mentioned one be harshly rejected.

Some or most of you have spotted the few images I have of a muscular lady by the name of Alexi in my gallery. This story is about her taking on the responsibility of bringing up her grand-grand-grand-etc daughter into the secret world of being part angel... Her grand plan is much different though, and arguably quite sinister and egocentric.

Alexi, the Lord Commander of the Angelic Army is betrayed and framed on the field of battle against the Exiles. She flees to the human world and bears a child with a human to avoid being found. Giving birth to a child will strip her of her powers, only to have them stored in the body of the child, making her own presence near invisible to the eyes of the Angels who seek her.
   Through generations she will protect the children following her own, waiting for her powers to mature again so she can take vengeance on the one responsible for her dethroning.
Hanna, a child of many generations later will eventually show signs of Alexi's stored powers; giving Alexi a reason to act on her agenda. No matter the price.

The human world is set in a mostly restored post-apocalyptic setting (a running theme?) followed a globally spread virus leading to what could only best be described as a zombie outbreak. The outbreak is mostly contained by now and the world is restoring its order.
   The Angelic world is that of a red sky and great rocky fields. The culture and aesthetics are mostly a mix between ancient Roman and Japanese style. There is a constant war between the Angels and the Exiles, a group of angels and mutants excluded from the splendour and status of the divine.
The society of the Angels are divided into four different Bloodlines. The Angels of Steel, Spirit, Blood and the feared Angels of Vengeance.

Alexi, a most brutal and unsympathetic character, will be faced with her own conscience. Hanna, a most loving and sympathetic character, will be faced with rage of the blood she carries. As mother (or more like great-great-etc-granny) and daughter they will face the world and battle with the bond they share, but with different ends in mind.

A similar read would probably be the manga "Bleach", only less focused on power levels and new devastating attacks with cool names.

Risen (Working-Title)
Made purely for the Giantess and Vore community, featuring giantesses waking up from giant sarcophagi buried deep under ground and their quest to find out the meaning of the cryptic messages left behind by their creators. The story and characters will be loosely based on Sumerian mythology. Should be in full colour.

Hushabye Hill
A series of short comics about the grim life of the inhabitants of Castle Hushabye and the adventurers who dare enter its courtyard in search of treasures. The main themes are Gore, Blood and Guro carried out in a setting of dark and grim humour.

Arietta
I'm planning on making a lot of short random stories featuring Arietta's diverse incarnations. For those of you who don't know who I'm talking about, keep an eye out for a young, pale looking girl with white hair and red eyes in my gallery.
